Sophisticated Swing is owned and operated by Art Abington who is actively involved in the West Coast Swing (WCS) community of Denver, Colorado.

Art has served on the board of directors of the Rocky Mountain Swing Dance Club of Denver, CO for the past three years. 

Art is also actively involved with the Turnverein Cultural Center, Denver, CO where he serves on the board of directors.

Art is actively involved in the production of Swingtime in the Rockies, a nationally recognized WCS competition held annually in Denver, CO.

Art started WCS dancing and deejaying in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was previously a member of the Tulsa SwingDance Club.

Art is a recognized deejay on USASwingNet and AllSwingDJ.
